Self-study exam based on a thorough understanding of articles that include the topics of: Client and planner attitudes, values, biases; General principles of effective communication; and Analysis and evaluation of risk exposures.
After reading and understanding the two articles required for this exam, the planner will:
- Understand the role that communication and opportunistic behavior have in establishing client trust and commitment.
- Identify areas where a planner can improve trust with clients and retain them for longer.
- Understand what is included in a contingency fund and how that is more than just an emergency fund.
- Be able to model a matrix for clients to help identify different ways to address various risk categories.
