People are drawn to financial planning as a career because we are a "helping profession." This discussion will focus on the various ways planners give back, whether through pro bono opportunities or FPA local chapter activities. We would love to hear about your experiences giving back, how to get started, and why you do it. 

Hannah Moore, CFP®

Owner, Guiding Wealth Management

Hannah Moore, CFP®, is a number-loving creative, owner of financial planning firm Guiding Wealth, and creator of the BudgetingBlocksTM. She is always looking to improve the ways that people experience and engage with their money. On top of her financial planning work and pushing to change the way people budget, Hannah also consults with FPA on new planner initiatives.

As a financial planner, she is dedicated to helping clients understand their money in a new way. She's also committed to supporting the next generation of planners to ensure the profession moves forward to meet the needs of a new generation.

Stephanie is the owner and founder of Golden Goose Wealth Planning in Grand Rapids Michigan. Stephanie is a CFP® professional who believes finances don't have to be complicated. She is passionate about helping clients achieve their financial goals. Stephanie is a board member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Michigan.  During her time on the board, she has sat on the education, NexGen, mentorship, and symposium committee. Stephanie is also the current FPA of Michigan's President-Elect. Stephanie has a huge passion for helping university students and career changers enter the financial planning profession.

Matt is the President & Founder of Haystack Financial Planning, a firm focused on serving the disabled and special needs community. He started the firm to further his passion for serving others. He believes that financial planning is a mix of science and art, where his role as a planner is to find the right blend for each client. Matt is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™️ professional and fiduciary that operates on a fee-only basis. He currently lives in New York City with his wife and two sons, where they enjoy exploring playgrounds, riding the bus and subway (pre-COVID at least), and searching for cool construction equipment.

Daria Victorov, CFP®

Daria graduated from Virginia Tech's CFP undergraduate education program. Shortly after graduating she relocated to the Bay Area and worked for a small RIA in Silicon Valley. There she kick started her career working primarily with young professionals in tech. After a year the company merged with another RIA where she gained experience working with a transcontinental team and focusing on transitioning the clients. In 2016 she moved to Abacus Wealth Partners where she is a lead advisor and advises about 75 households. She has been on Silicon Valley's board of directors and the NorCal committee. In 2018 she was named one of Financial Advisor's 10 Young Advisors to Watch.
