Journal of Financial Planning CE Exam: February 2024

4.67 (6 votes)

Self-study exam based on a thorough understanding of articles that include the topics of: Analysis and evaluation of risk exposures; Long-term care insurance and long-term case planning; Insurance needs analysis; Retirement needs analysis; Social Security and Medicare planning; and Portfolio development and analysis.

After reading and understanding the two articles required for this exam, the planner will:

  • Understand how little people have prepared for long-term care and help clients broach conversations with intended LTC providers.
  • Understand that one typically has to live longer than their expectancy for delaying benefits to be advantageous; starting earlier or at FRA may be better.
  • Understand that ETFs have a variety of benefits that clients or planners may prefer over mutual funds.
