 After reading and understanding the two articles required for this exam, the planner will:

  • Understand how municipal bonds can reduce taxes and how they are often seen as safe investments.
  • Understand which clients would benefit from more municipal bonds in their portfolio and how to frame the benefits.
  • Understand that Americans still have to pay U.S. federal income tax when living abroad and the complications that can arise.
