Learn about Kevin's amazing journey in finding his passion for pro-bono financial planning following a 40 year career in institutional investment management.
Kevin Lam
Kevin has had a 40-year career in institutional finance. He started in 1979 in the Capital Markets division of Morgan Stanley. Subsequently, he worked more than 20 years in the Investment Management division of Macquarie Asset Management. He retired in 2019. During these past three years, he has enjoyed serving as a Pro Bono personal financial planner. He has been serving pro bono clients of several non-profit grantees of the Foundation for Financial Planning. These non-profits include: Wings for Widows, which helps individuals who recently lost a spouse; After Innocence, which supports folks who have been wrongfully imprisoned and subsequently exonerated; and The Angel Foundation and Family Reach, both of which help families facing the challenges of battling cancer. Kevin is a graduate of Amherst College and lives in the tax-friendly state of Delaware.”
