Chris Lugo (He/Him/His)

Executive Director

OUT Georgia Business Alliance

Chris Lugo is the Executive Director of the OUT Georgia Business Alliance, proudly serving as Georgia’s only LGBTQ+ and Allied Chamber of Commerce.

Lugo is a dynamic and energetic queer leader with a passion for serving others with generosity, empathy, and respect. As Executive Director of OUT Georgia, he is charged with advancing the mission and vision of the nonprofit chamber through a focus on Advocacy, Business & Economic Development, and Community Impact.

He has been instrumental in leading the organization’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts; statewide expansion and Membership growth; and strategic planning and program development, including the launch of the OUT Georgia Impact Fund and TGX360, an initiative centering Georgia’s Transgender, Nonbinary, and Gender-Expansive community. 

Lugo is honored to serve on the City of Atlanta Mayor’s LGBTQ Advisory Board as co-chair of its Economic and Community Development Committee, and he is a member of the Atlanta Hawks’ LGBTQIA+ Pride Council and the Cobb Chamber’s Diversity and Inclusion Council.

Lugo previously held marketing, fundraising, and nonprofit management positions with IBM Corporation, Direct Energy Business, Alzheimer’s Association, and most recently The Cavaliers, a Chicago-based nonprofit developing young leaders through the performing arts, where he served as the organization’s first-ever Executive Director.

Ilona Lohrey (she/her)

interim President & CEO

GSBA, Washington State's LGBTQ+ & Allied Chamber of Commerce

Ilona Lohrey is the interim President & CEO at GSBA, Washington's LGBTQ & allied chamber of commerce, which was founded in 1981 and represents over 1,300 businesses. She joined GSBA in 2015 and her work is centering economic and educational equity. Her work focuses on prosperity of small minority owned businesses in Washington State, business development, technical assistance, and supplier diversity. She helped create the Ready for Business recovery grant, as well as the Business Academy to directly support small businesses with a focus on LGBTQ-, BIPOC-, and women-owned businesses. She also oversees the GSBA Scholarship Fund that has invested over 6.5 million dollars in the educational advancement of our future leaders.  

Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, Ilona is passionate about and understands small business.  She was the CEO of RBH, a small family-owned business with 1,600 employees and $14MM in revenues in Germany. She served as a Small Business Banking Manager at Wells Fargo Bank N.A., managing a team of 6 Business Bankers and a portfolio of $65MM for the Seattle Metro area. Ilona identifies as queer or lesbian and dedicates her advocacy work and passion to the LGBTQ+ community to advance equity across the most vulnerable of populations. Ilona serves on the Cocoon House Governance Board, as well as a Commissioner for the City of Seattle’s Labor Standards Advisory Commission. She lives with her wife of 25 years and their two Vizslas in Snohomish County and enjoys traveling.

Stephen Urbrock, MBA, AAMS® (He/Him/His)

Stephen Urbrock MBA AAMS® is a Financial Planner with Spring Street Financial, a part of Mainspring Wealth Advisors, LLC. He has an International Studies degree from Emory University and an MBA from Georgia State University.  He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, Life, Accident & Sickness, and Variable Products Agent licenses, and the Accredited Asset Management Specialist℠ professional designation from the College of Financial Planning.  Stephen brings thirty years of experience helping clients across the US navigate our complex financial landscape. He is dedicated to having meaningful conversations and providing financial planning to coach clients with growing and preserving wealth, planning for retirement, providing for family, and growing their businesses.  

Marti Hoffer

Founder and CEO

Marti Hoffer is the Founder and CEO of lumenomics - a specialty subcontractor in construction with a simple mission: to maximize the use of natural light in designed spaces. Besides her devotion to natural light for over 35+ years, Marti has dedicated her business to creating space for women, LGBTQ+ people, and minorities in a historically un-inclusive construction industry. Marti graduated with a BA in Business and Fine Arts from Otterbein University and an MBA from Seattle University.
