September 2021 Women & Finance Knowledge Circle.

We will be welcoming Ashley Leftwich from "Rock The Street, Wall Street". known as RTSWS for short.

RTSWS is a financial and investment literacy initiative  designed to kindle the interest of high school girls into finance careers.

Ashley will share with us the story of RTSWS and how each of us can get involved to support the mission of RTSWS.
Consider this: there are middle school or high school  girls out there who may someday be our assistants, our employees, even buyers of our practices. To keep our profession strong we need to start now reaching out to young girls to get them ready to be the financial planners of the future.

Ashley Leftwich

Partner Engagement Manager

Rock The Street, Wall Street (RTSWS)

Ashley is the Partner Engagement Manager for the nonprofit organization, Rock The Street, Wall Street (RTSWS) - a financial and investment literacy program designed to spark high school girls’ interest in pursuing finance careers. Prior to earning her MBA, Ashley recognized the lack of women pursuing math alongside her in college and the unawareness of the many finance industry profession opportunities available. She has worked in a variety of roles throughout non-profits and contributes to building partner relationships across the country to grow Rock The Street, Wall Street’s reach. RTSWS was born out of the CEO & Founder Maura Cunningham’s spending 25+ years in the financial industry. Maura was eager to turn her attention to getting more girls interested in their financial independence and introducing them to careers in finance.

Since its inception in 2013, RTSWS has served more than 3,000 girls across the U.S. in  the year-long program that includes classroom financial hands-on project workshops, a “Wall Street” experience field trip, and a mentorship program. Every single classroom instructor and mentor are female financial professionals who volunteer to lead the Rock the Street, Wall Street programs, and are instrumental in shaping girls’ perceptions of finance careers. Today, the program is in 50 high schools across 27 cities in the U.S. and Canada. Ashley is excited to be a part of moving girls forward in the field of finance.
